What's going on? Every single topic is marked as 'NEW'. I have 51 notifications but they're all old ones. Very odd.

@Morgan I think Mars updated something. Go to the unread tab at the top in the main forum, click that, then click "mark all as read" - problem solved
Done that several times at the bottom of the main page with no joy. Just tried your suggestion re top of the main page and will see how it goes. Has the format of the site changed? No likey.

Hi guys. We've had to update the software to the latest version for a numbers of reason (including security and spam updates). As part of the process, we've had to clear the cache on on the site for all users which may have resulted in a "reset" of sorts for read messages. Time permitting, I will see if there are any additional fixes.

Another thing I’ve noticed is the absence of a ‘Like’ button.
EDIT: cancel, it’s changed to a thumbs button and moved to bottom right of the posters details. Love all this ‘progress’. 🤔😄

I remember reading a quote from a Roman General who stated "When everyone is used to a system, then that's the time to change it". Personally I don't see the point in re-inventing the wheel, over and over again.
@derek-m gets my vote 👏😆

I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" – unfortunately that doesn't apply in the world of tech and websites, because you need to stay ahead of the curve to give yourself a fighting chance against nefarious elements that pervade the 'net. To be fair, the upgrade actually went quite well, with minimal issues.

Software can be changed to make it more secure, but it is not necessary to change the screen layout and functionality. Now instead of taking one to the selected new post, it goes to the start of the thread, which may be 27 pages long. I don't see this as an improvement.
@derek-m Mine always takes me to the last post. I then have to scroll back to find the first unread post. Irritating when I want to go to the first unread, particularly if I haven’t visited for a few days. It may be pages to scroll in reverse. 😡

Until the recent changes, if I clicked on the link shown in my Yahoo e-mail it would open the RHH website and take me to the selected post. Now some of the message I receive in my inbox don't even contain the link.
Mars, has this software actually been tested?
