Outdoor monobloc frost valve insulator
Hi all, found these and have fitted two to lag around my outdoor ASHP unit frost valves. These are brass valves the installer has included as an extra safeguard against frost damage. They were left uninsulated, but these items wrap neatly round them, allowing the outlet at the bottom of the valve to be open.
Some of these frost valves are not supposed to be insulated. The Caleffi ones aren’t, but the inta ones can be. I only just found this out via another forum. I have the Caleffi valves fitted on my system and they’ve been insulated by the installer, i now have to contact the installer and get them to either fitted a valve that can be insulated or to live with emitting precious heat to the outside.
