@cathoderay A Baxi engineer is coming out on Monday to fit our new control panel. Baxi have told me to contact them direct if I have any other issues and they've given me a number.
The installer is coming here on Thursday to sort out the glycol in our solar thermal water heating and get that back up and running again. 😁
@cathyem1 - thanks for the update. Let us know how it goes on Monday!
Midea 14kW (for now...) ASHP heating both building and DHW
@cathoderay Ok, that's odd. The Baxi chap came yesterday and replaced the defective control panel and it's still gaining time and the date isn't changing. Called Baxi again today and one of their technical people(?) is coming out on Friday to see if the ASHP is causing the clock to gain.
Also I've just checked the screens you got me to check previously. We’re still on curve 9, but the settings have changed.
Here are the new settings. I would appreciate your comments @cathoderay

It may be be because the controller has been changed, and has gone to some albeit rather odd defaults. See if you can set them to what you had before.
The fact the clock is still playing up seems to suggest something is still wrong. Roll on Friday...

Since the clock is gaining, by the time Baxi's techie arrives it'll be the weekend...
... and he'll be earning overtime. 🤨

new user here.
i had a Baxi heat pump installed last week under the HUG scheme. My installer also left my controller set at 2016! I followed the advice here to set time and date today.
i have the user handbook but it’s not written for a new user really.
i had no choice over the installers as it was grant funded and it wasn’t the best experience, but I do have a warm house and hot water. I’ve experimented today by lowering the hot water to 45. It was set at 55. I also have an immersion timer they fitted. It’s set to heat for one hour early morning on cheap rate. They also fitted a Hive control and 6 solar panels. Lots for me to learn about!
@stevel Hi, welcome to the Baxi gang 😉
Our installer came out today to sort out our solar thermal water heating system. His company - Sustain Homes who installed the ASHP have taken over the servicing for the solar thermal.
He also insulated some paperwork that the original chaps had missed.
It’s definitely a learning curve with the ASHP, but I’m glad we did it. The Baxi user guide is complicated, but then it’s probably because the original units are Midea apparently.
There are real experts on here, so any questions you have will be answered.
I’m thinking about solar panels and batteries, but I don’t think we could get any grants etc. My husband and I are just over the financial threshold for anything unfortunately.
@transparent Good morning,
the installer sorted our missing inside insulation. See pics.
We organised our own outside, which is held on with string if anyone needs to get to the bolts etc.
@cathoderay I had to return to this post today as my Baxi controller did not move forward to BST! The immersion timer did though.
@stevel - my Midea wired controller is the same, I have to manually change between GMT and BST. To be fair to Midea, other clocks in the house eg oven and microwave also need manual changing, as indeed do I myself, and it still takes me a couple of days to adjust!
