Nice find. Crown Estate publish real time data for offshore UK wind. https://www.thecrownestate.co.uk/en-gb/what-we-do/asset-map/#tab-2

You can see the opportunity for harvest the potential for offshore wind the deeper waters of the South West coast and West of Scotland. Development of those areas will require floating infrastructure - turbines and AC-HVDC converter stations. It's being worked on. It doesn't come cheap, and doesn't add to base-load potential, but it's helping in decarbonising our energy generation and reducing reliance on imported fossil fuel CCGT and electricity imports from mainland Europe.
