From your quote here I understood that the heat pump wasn't operating at night as you have the house quite cool. In the documentation you got from yo...
@grumpidoc do you have glycol in your system if so you can deactivate the frost protection mode so the pumps won't activate at night.
Ideally you want it all to come on at the same time. When my hall thermostat calls for heat all of the UFH loops downstairs come on and all the rads ...
Yep that all makes sense the easiest solution is to remove all the actuators from the UFH manifold they should just unscrew them all loops will be ope...
So presumably the EPH thermostats are wired back to a controller near to the UFH manifold? Do you have a picture of that?
That will be the cause then, with only 1 thermostat calling for heat the water volume is too small it heats quickly and the heat pump has to turn off ...
That’s definitely cycling do you have UFH or rads regardless of which it would suggest you have only a very small proportion of the heating system cal...
They could be defrosts but unlikely at that Frequency. do you have the MELCloud app that can show the flow and retune temps for those times? There...
It’s an 8.5kw ecodan UFH and rads. WC set at 32C at 3C, 45C at -10C. Running on weather comp with thermostat set to 22C in the hallway. Once it g...
@ak2024 that is the HP cycling on and off 2/3 times an hour usually happens at milder outside temps when the flow temp is around 30C or less. I have ...
@boycey what you have there is really bad cycling 10 times an hour. if you increased the flow rate this will have only worsened it as it has less ti...
@boycey in milder temps you have to limit heating with the thermostats so that’s set at 22C to turn the heat pump off till it cools back down again.
