@sapper117 Thanks Sapper.  The oddity I have is that the reported COP is very low (i.e. 1.4 this month), yet the system seems to work OK and until the recent freeze was not running away with money.  It's running well above the projection for December consumption but that is no surprise given the weather.  I'll assemble some information and make a proper post soon.

2021 built 2 storey detached house, 212 sq.m. / 2300 sq.ft. heated area. EPC 87B. Mitsubishi Ecodan 11.2Kw ASHP, weather compensated flow temp, UFH, MVHR.

I have a 14kW Mitsubishi Ecodan with FTC5 and 6 Solimpeks Powervolt solar hybrid panels.

Bungalow, exposed elevated site North eastern Scotland. 180 meters square with good level of insulation, not perfect but good.

Heat supplied via K3 radiators using room temp settings via the FTC5. House temp set to approx 19C daytime in winter.

Since installation 2019, 60% saving in total energy costs from LPG plus log burner heating used previously. Recent outrageous electricity prices have trimmed that a bit but still substantial saving.

Total success. 😀

Hello everyone 👋

I’m Cal, hope all are well during this recent cold snap we’ve had!

Made a new Topic awaiting moderation regarding our current setup and situation 😅

But in a nutshell, in the Army and we live in Wiltshire, in a married quarter that has a Ecodan 5kw with UFH. 😃

Hello Everyone, I have an 8.5kW Mitsubishi Ecodan, Solar PV with battery storage. So far I'm fairly pleased with the Ecodan's performance, my main reason for coming here is to find out whether it is functioning as well as it can/should. I'll make a detailed post (hopefully in the correct place) soon. I'd like to do this prior to using Mars' poll as I have some reservations already regarding my installer and would like to see if it was installed and set up optimally.

Mitsubishi Ecodan 8.5kWh
4.4kW Solar PV
5.2 kWh Battery Storage
1983 build, 300mm loft insulation, cavity wall insulation (beads)

Dear All Sorry to be dense but I can't see how to post a new question to the forum or start a new discussion?  Can someone show me where to click.  I am sure I will kick myself when the obvious is pointed out.

Thanks

Tom
