The two paragraphs can co-exist, and by recognising this we deal with reality rather than fantasy.
Completely agree as well. As geriatricians are wont to say, we must hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst.

They have enclosed the heat pump in a box and wonder why it's inefficient and costing them load of money. I don't know who added the box but anyone servicing the unit should flag this major issue. Unbelievable.

Whats the chances they're running on fixed flow and not weather compensation?

It's unbelievable how many emails and DMs I've received this winter from homeowners that have been left on fixed flow temps.

When a disused pub building behind my property was converted into 4 flats recently, I was pleased to see that the developers installed heat pumps rather than gas.
However the way they enclosed the outdoor units really shocked me. Is this the worst possible outdoor install?
