My Shelley stopped working at the weekend, which resulted in Havenwise trying to heat my house at 50C from 2pm until early evening when I realised that something was wrong. Shelley is plugged in (ie not on batteries) and has been in the same position for some months, and has been working fine.

After consultation with Havenwise I tried a reset, with no apparent change in the readings. In one part of the app it confirmed that it was connected to the wifi, but on My Dashboard, it said not connected. At various times over the weekend it connected to the wifi for about half an hour and then disconnected again.

Today, Monday it is working correctly. I have no reason to suppose that there had been a problem with the wifi.

Just wondering if it could be a problem with my Shelley thermometer and whether anyone else has experienced similar problems

@broadsman do you live in a highly populated area?

Sometimes your router can select a congested comms channel and if your Shelley is a reasonable distance away it could be having issues staying connected due to network collisions. If the router then switches to a quieter channel connectivity can improve.

There maybe no issue brewing with the Shelley. Just monitor it for now to see if it happens frequently from now on.
