Samsung Holiday schedule
Hi, I have a Samsung ashp and I'm going in holiday. Can someone explain holiday schedule and how to use it?
As far as I can see, the only option is to toggle the mode on or off for days of the week - which means I can only return it to normal when I return, if away longer than a week!
There is next to nothing in the documentation. It is not clear whether this: (a) simply disables other schedules; (b) effects this, plus a general fixed set-back to the water law setting; (c) switches the whole thing off.
How can anyone ever recommend Samsung on the basis of their user support??!
Thanks in advance,
Richard

It’s my sole reason to always deter homeowners from going down the Samsung heat pump route because they are notoriously terrible. I even contact senior members of their team to ask them to step in and help in extreme cases and they never do. They just don’t seem to care.

It's weird really because Samsung consumer products are, in my experience, generally very good, but as you say their heat pump controllers are very basic, verging, on inadequate for the average person imho, and their tech support non existent. With the exception of the old gen6 models they aren't even particularly cheap!
4kW peak of solar PV since 2011; EV and a 1930s house which has been partially renovated to improve its efficiency. 7kW Vaillant heat pump.
Im actually happy with my Samsung 🙂 but I do agree the documentation is appauling. Have you looked at the Outing function? I think Glyn Hudson used it in one of his youtube videos.

@bontwoody thanks - that's all very interesting. I hadn't come across that video before. I'll look into outing mode... When we get back from holiday! 🤣🤣
@richdorm Glyn Hudson is my goto info source for Samsungs. Worth checking out his videos 🙂

Let's see if we can tempt @glyn-h to give his insights.
