@ecobaker Thats correct, I made the mistake of getting the same pump, but then decided to to sell it on ebay and get the UPM3 FLEX AS 25-75 130 AZA also on ebay.

@heacol easily resolved with a jumper wire on the end of the flow sensor cable 🤣
When I was commissioning my Sprsun I could not get the air out, kept tripping on a flow sensor issue. Jumpered the flow sensor out and left it at that. Haven’t seen a flow error since then 🤣 Got the air out eventually.

If the HP can't modulate below flow temp of 45 degrees and I'm aiming for flow temps of 35, is there much point in swapping out for a different pump?

@ecobaker probably not

@ecobaker Probably not if the unit cant modulate at 35C. Maybe @Iancalderbank can advise if it works as low as that as i havent run mine that low yet.

I managed to talk to Glyn Hudson who was having difficulties getting PWM to work with his Samsung. However he has managed to sort it with a firmware update of the indoor controller and now it works at low flow temperatures, so it seems Samsung have sorted it.

@bontwoody it will run at 35, but only stably if you have enough emitters to balance the min output of the HP. Which in my case with a 16kw gen6 unit is 3.5kw. Below about 34-35C my emitter output drops too low , so it would short cycles , so I have tuned the WC so it doesn't go much below that.
lots of run data on my heatpumpmonitor.org data, as per my sig.

@bontwoody @iancalderbank Thanks for the advice. Looks like Ill try and get a firmware update before removing the LLH, although that could be tricky.
Also I just swapped out a small radiator for a much bigger one in my kitchen which resulted in a jump of daily COP from 3.6 to 4.1, I have three other rads I want to swap as well when I can afford to do it. I think thats probably a first step before removing a LLH or changing pump.

@ecobaker mine did not need a firmware change. the PWM worked first time. I am not even sure how you would go about getting a firmware change done.
radiator changes - yes - put your effort in there first. obvious gains as you have found.
