Im presuming you have installed the MyVaillant integration, you need the latest version

The power sensor is called [my_address]_device_0_arotherm_plus_current_power [my_address] being my actual address.

4kW peak of solar PV since 2011; EV and a 1930s house which has been partially renovated to improve its efficiency. 7kW Vaillant heat pump.

OK so the integration is installed.  Good.  Via a web browser is the way to access it.

If you go instead to settings - devices and services you should see a screen like this (you will have different devices and services, but should have the Vaillant one

image

Click on myVaillant, you should see 4-5 lines each describing a 'device', like the screen you posted above.  If you click on any of them you will see loads of tiles each of which has a link 'add to dashboard', something like this

image

You can add tiles to the dashboard using this, then once you have done that clicking in various obvious places pulls up further options.

Hope that helps.  HA does take a bit of getting used to but once you have its actually quite easy.

PS its a breeze to set up on a raspberry pi, but now you have it going on windows Id stick with it for now until you decide if you want to make it permanent!

Good start, click on add to dashboard.

Then go back to previous list from settings - devices and services and click on circuit 1 you will get some more sensors.  You can repeat with the other devices until you find the sensors you want

@jamespa ive had a look at the firmware card in the add cards section and those entries are listed under attributes along with what looks like everything on the heat pump. im going to ask on the HA plugin developers site. i wonder if my firmware is too new?

I have the same firmware.  I have MyVaillant version HA integration v0.9.8.  The Power consumption sensor is a fairly recent addition.

What I dont understand is why you HA setup look quite different.

@jamespa going to bin this and see if i can get it working on a pi3.

dont want to spend open energy monitor levels of money but i need to see what this pump is actually doing. though i dont see why im having to figure it out when the installer should just come and balance the rads/check the commissioning, but i expect they will say it wasnt part of the quote like i had to pay my plumber to remove the old boiler and tank.

@adamk when i had my ASHP fitted by Octopus, removing old boiler and flue into roof was included in the quote, maybe it was me being fastidious about dotting is etc, wonder if anyone else had same level of service
