But at the beginning of the 8 min cycle they are both within 0.5 degree of each other at 22
Outside unit heat pump fans run for around 5 mins then it's quiet until 8 mins and 20 seconds then it starts again.Â
I will have a look at the data and get back to you tomorrow.
In the meantime, with the system running, measure the temperature in the central section of each radiator at both the top and the bottom, along with the relevant room temperature.

Am I right in thinking that Craig's system (from Joule) does not have a buffer tank? I'm still trying to get my head round the mandatory buffer tank for Samsung ASHP question.

Â
@mike-h I have two small tanks above the uvc but I'm assuming they aren't buffer tanks? I have a cold water header tank in the loft and the system outside. That's all I have so unless one of those two tanks are a buffer then I don't have one.
Did you measure and record the radiator temperatures?

Which set of instructions say that the samsung needs a buffer?

The white one is the expansion vessel for the domestic hot water (from the unvented cylinder) and the grey one is the expansion vessel for the heating/ashp circuit.
As you have an unvented cylinder, there is no need for any tanks in the loft, and also no need for that shower booster pump. I'm not sure why you still have those in your installation.

Below is a link for the controller instructions. Select the home screen and monitor the outdoor temperature whilst your system goes through its cycling process.
