Majordennisbloodnok RE: Power outages and storms: A surprisingly good DNO experience

By Majordennisbloodnok, 5 days ago

That sums up pretty well my view in another related company - Octopus. They’re simply interacting with their customers in an honest, open and well organised way, and along the way have gained a reputa...
Mars RE: Power outages and storms: A surprisingly good DNO experience

@majordennisbloodnok honestly, it was genuinely refreshing. Proper, old-school customer service… calm, proactive and human. When I compare it to the frankly awful attitude we’ve always had from Severn...

As far as I am aware, the majority, if not all, of the energy used in a defrost comes from the hot water in the radiator circuit. When I look at my minute by minute energy out data, it goes negative d...

SUNandAIR RE: Setback savings - fact or fiction?

By SUNandAIR, 5 days ago

That’s an interesting stat. I’m thinking that the 0.1 KWh might be the energy used during the flow reversal process….? I’m also thinking that the real energy which provides the heat for the defrost is...
RE: Power outages and storms: A surprisingly good DNO experience

Great to read a good service story. I know that there are priority lists held for households with vulnerable customers in them. Perhaps your household is on a separate list with Scottish Power headed...
RE: Advice for a novice on Mitsubishi Ecodan 6kW

By Sheriff Fatman, 5 days ago

Fair point. The highest frequency of defrosts I'd seen so far had been 6 within a 24 hour period, but my sample size of relevant data is very small.
