I just time the ASHP to switch off 12-5am. The room temps drop a couple or three degrees and then warm up (slowly) in the morning.

@riponowl It's unlikely to save you much if any money but you might want the option of TRVs in the bedrooms for comfort (if you like a cooler room)...
