On the back of this, I'm curious to hear who has an air release valve or deaerator, and who doesn't have any air release mechanism.

There's definitely something not right there. @simon-w, can you please provide some insights on what could be wrong.
We have a lot of work ahead to get this done properly. All valid points above.
Also loads of water ingress… the foamy insulation is damp, which leads to more unnecessary (and completely avoidable) heat loss.
