@batalto @derek thanks guys.

@morgan Yes that is correct, I would suggest that TRV valves are only put on the bedroom radiators, all the rest of the radiators have lockshields only. The temperature controller/sensor must be in a common area. That is how we do it. What unit are you getting installed?

LG 11.2 Ecodan Ultra Quiet. FTC Controller. Does that answer the question?

@morgan This is what you need instead of a standard room thermostat,
A standard third party thermostat will significantly increase your running costs.

@heacol My installer is going with a Neostat wifi. Comments?

@morgan Your choice, The Neostat is a complicated on-off thermostat that can be only programmed by the idiot who designed it. Whenever I come across any products by that manufacturer, they go in the bin, to the delight of the poor person whom it was foisted upon.
If you are determined to have an on-off thermostat, this will give better performance as you can actually operate it without the 20 page manual. The 2 thermostats are exactly the same thing. They work like a light switch.

@heacol Oh well that lifted my day lol. He suggested the wifi neostat as it can be moved around to find our ideal site.

@morgan The Mitsubishi unit is also Wi-Fi, but it talks intelligently to the controller. Same thing, but it actually works. The Neostat will add at least 30% but probably 80% to your electricity bill.

@heacol Very cheery news! They look like they do the same thing to me but what do I know!

@morgan, you could not be further from the truth, they do not do the same thing. The Mitsubushi unit talks to the heat pump, informing it of the actual internal temperature and allows the heat pump to supply the correct ammount of energy to your property to maintain the internal temperature at the most efficient rate.
The Neostat switches the heat pump on and off, and does nothing else, like using the ignition key in a car to regulate the speed.
