ASHP flow through pipes is noisy and preventing us from using at night......looking for help.
@dannymoss23 its not that exciting... you can't not have one ! they're absolutely standard required items , your system wouldn't work at all without one, it'd be airlocked all the time.
whats optional, but more interesting and beneficial to long term noise reduction is an air separator as per my 2nd pic. I doubt you've got one. fitting one would be a likely next step if putting insulation around the pipes doesn't help (or not as much as you want it to). they're about £100 to buy, easy job to fit if there's a suitable length of pipe it can go on (should be one around your cylinder). there might be an economy on your fitters time to have them do it at the same time as the other stuff.

Hey @editor, yeah thanks for asking. The installers were good actually once I managed to get a response. They filled the cavity and put insulation around the pipe and it’s tonnes better now.
system working well and toasty in the cold months.
we’ve settled on the pumps at the lowest level in the summer but once it gets colder I bump it to level 2 to make sure the radiators furthest away from the cylinder are getting hot
