Came across this chat with Octopus’s Heat Pump Leader (sorry, forgot his name) but well worth the time to watch or listen.

Regards, Toodles.

He is obviously a good salesman, but some of his technical knowledge is a little suspect.

I welcome any ideas and methods that help ensure heat pump installations are done correctly and at lowest cost to the consumer. I suspect that Octopus's entry into the market will hopefully see some if not all the 'cowboy' installers leave.

He does seem to think that MCS are doing a good job. 🙄

I have found that Heatio have made a series of talks and I came across a second talk with Jim Bennett from Octopus Energy:

The content:

In the midst of a pressing cost of living crisis, we're back with Jim Bennett, Octopus Energy Services Sales Director, to cover the West's heavy reliance on gas and the urgent need to transition towards electrification. We explore the necessity of shifting away from purchasing gas from countries that have already embraced heat pumps, and the pivotal role that major energy companies can play.
