We had our rads ‘professionally’ balanced last winter and we’re generally pleased with the way they’re running. There is one rad that isn’t great and I wanted to open the exit valve slightly.

I just want to turn it one quarter, but want to make sure I turn it the right way. Does “righty tightly” apply to rad valves. Ie. to open the valve slightly (let more water pass out the rad faster) would that be a quarter turn to the left?

Hi Mars,

Looking down at the top of the valve, clockwise is closing and anticlockwise is opening.
