@editor produced 8.3MW this year. Last year it was 9.2MW. December was shocking in terms of production, caused almost entirely by the shading from next doors building work. Only 90kW for the whole month.
Upside from the battery is that it's delivered a huge amount this year and I estimate saved me over £600 on it's own (25% of it's install cost).
December I've used 1.5MW of power, 1.1MW for the heat pump. Last December I used 6MW just for gas. However it's been seriously mild here. Right now it's 14°, so not really comparable
Hi Everyone,
I watched a program the other day, on the BBC iPlayer, about the problems being experienced by the French Electricity Industry, and was pleased to see that someone had put their thinking cap on. EDF have a pumped storage power station and have come up with the bright idea of putting solar PV panels on floats over a large section of the lake. They predict that it not only will provide electrical energy without using up available land area, it should also reduce water evaporation from the lake by 30%, and also make the solar PV panels more efficient by keeping them cooler. Simples. 😎
He are my April numbers. On a 8.4kw array 6kw inverter with optimizers as I have some shading. Scotland Eastcost.
16kw Samsung TDM ASHP. 8.4kw PV, power optimizers 20×420watt panels 6kw SolarEdge inverter.

Here are the new numbers for May. The weather started very badly but finished relly well, with loads if sunshine.

@andris Our installation isn’t quite a year old yet but, the performance (even in such cloudy conditions as we have experienced for some months now) has been very impressive and with such excellent export rates as those from Octopus Energy, we are going a good way to covering the ASHP consumption in the winter time. I haven’t compiled proper tables to indicate performance just yet but will look at doing so in due course when we have another quarter or two to examine. Meanwhile we are currently enjoying export rewards of £200+ per month! The battery is charged (via Agile) in the early hours when the power is usually as cheap or cheaper than my export rate - and most days so is the Eddi - Sunamp set up. I like the means of setting up MyEnergi to look for the ‘not more than x pence per kW/h and only wish there was such an integrated feature in Tesla App to charge the battery this way! Can’t think of the name for this system right now! Regards, Toodles.

@toodles This sounds great!
Sorry I have been delayed to post,
away on holiday as u can see it on the usage. At least that made up for the rainy days!

Of course, the term I couldn’t umbrella earlier is ‘API’ (as I am sure you all knew anyway!) Regards, Toodles.

Year-on-year comparison, July and August production has lagged behind previous years. It's been a pretty cool and overcast few months.

Useful 5 year month-by-month comparative data there @editor. Thank you. August has been something of a solar wash-out for us in the North East. That said, even with our modest 9 panel 3.6kW array, we're totally self-sufficient with the house heating off, exporting sufficient each month to normally break even (or thereabouts) and to cover the standing charge plus what little we consume from the grid. Meanwhile the account builds up some credit for the ASHP heating season from Oct onwards. Without the solar PV our energy bills would have been much higher, it's definitely been a good investment.
