@majordennisbloodnok I actually have Home Assistant Green up and running. Haven't a clue what to do with it, though. 🤣
He, he
If you wanted to give it a go, I'm happy to talk you through it. No pressure, though.

Before you actually buy it, though, let's get Home Assistant ready, 'cos if you change your mind in the middle of that then you still haven't lost the cost of the gadget.
On the left hand bar, go down towards the bottom and find the cog that, when you click on it, will open Settings.
Now click on Add-ons. On the Add-ons page, you'll have blue button in the bottom left marked Add-On Store; click that button.
You can now either look on that page for or use the search facility to find a particular addon called Mosquitto broker. Click on that.
On the ensuing page, you'll see four words at the top - Info, Documentation, Configuration and Log. Whilst you're on the Info tab, you can click "Install". You'll need to wait for a short while whilst it installs and starts up, then, once it's running, make sure the options "Start on boot", "Watchdog" and "Autoupdate" are enabled.
Now, switch to the Configuration tab and, under the top section (marked Logins), click Add. You can add a username and password, and this is what you'll be using later when you get your gadget, so make a note of those credentials and keep them safe.
Once you've added the new login, switch back to the Info page and click Restart. It's not strictly necessary, I think, but I prefer to give it a fresh start after every config change just to keep things simple.
At this point you're done with Home Assistant for now. If you've got that far, you can now go back to the link above and buy your gadget. Shout once you're done, or if anything I've written doesn't make sense.

6. Now, switch to the Configuration tab and, under the top section (marked Logins), click Add.
No option to add.
It looks like yours is accepting a list - it's worth noting that if you leave it blank, you can still use any existing Home Assistant users login details instead
Go back to your left hand bar, down to the Settings cog and click on it.
On the Settings page, click on People, then in the bottom right corner click on Add Person.
In the ensuing dialogue box, give the new user a name (e.g. Mitsi) and click on "Allow person to login". This will reveal some extra boxes.
Put the new user's password in both the "password" and "confirm password" boxes, turn on the button saying the user can only log in from local network and turn off the "administrator" button.
Click Create to clear the dialogue box, revealing the other dialogue box behind.
Click Add to clear that second dialogue box and you're done.
I'd forgotten that the MQTT broker these days allows you to set up users in Home Assistant without reconfiguring the broker itself. These steps should sort that out.

I think I'm there 😶 fingers crossed. No mention of Mosquitto on my dashboard.
Now I need to buy the gizmo linked above?
Yup, now to buy the gizmo.
Just to get prepared, can I assume you have a smart phone or a tablet or similar? It's just the easiest way of doing the initial setup of the gizmo once it's plugged in.

Havenwise is indeed aware of future / planned changes to Mitsubishi's Melcloud (obviously!). And rest assured we're working on various options to ensure Havenwise can continue to help Mitsubishi heat pump owners!
