Heat pump house issues help needed

Hello everyone,

I've just moved into a rental property with an ASHP, probably as old as the house so from about 2013.

I have no instructional documentation for the system, and especially for the control panel, no branding at all so the error codes are completely meaningless. It's not pulling any heat into the house, we are completely relying on the immersion heater for now.

Please see the photos attached.

The outside ASHP is a danfoss unit, inside there's not much of a brand or model to go by.

Thanks all for any of your help. My landlord here is being extremely unhelpful with any of this.

Hi Andrew, i dont have any experience with Danfoss heat pumps, but I am a landlord and being unhelpful isnt really an option he has. He is responsible for providing a functioning heating system, imagine if your heat pump was a gas combi, he has to get an engineer around to fix it asap. The rules in Wales are different to England so I would suggest you get in touch with Citizens advice to force the issue with him.

As far as I am aware your landlord is required to provide a fully functioning heating and hot water system. I would therefore suggest that you contact Citizens Advice in the first instance and seek their help.

Whilst you may wish to try to resolve any problems yourself, I would caution that your landlord could then possibly claim that you caused the problems or at least made them worse.

I believe that your landlord is responsible for providing the correct information and instruction for you to be able to operate the system in the most efficient and effective manner.

I have attached copies of the various Danfoss manuals for future reference, though I would again suggest that you heed the advice to contact Citizens Advice.
