Halved our ASHP energy consumption
So I checked our Ecodan consumption figures yesterday
All of 2021. Approx 9,000kwh
2022 so far: Approx 4,000kWh
Roughly COP for Nov has gone from 2.7 to 4.3 Not sure how much milder it’s been this year?
With 7 weeks of year left it’s looking very promising!
We tuned things before the heating season this year so I’m hoping that means 2023 will be even cheaper with a full year at a better COP
250sqm house. 30kWh Sunsynk/Pylontech battery system. 14kWp solar. Ecodan 14kW. BMW iX.
My latest energy bill for Oct-Nov was just £134 (then take off the government money). So far, so good for this year. I'm about £1000 in credit at the moment. It has been ridiculously mild
Posted by: @mjrThe start of Nov has been fairly mild.
What tunings have you tried, please?
Tweaked the weather comp settings
removed all the Tado room stats and UFH zones so it’s just one big zone now
balanced the radiators
i have a feeling removing the zoning has worked the best

I too have an Ecodan and would be interested in the weather comp settings you use.
thanks
It’s 2c here and foggy. So worst weather for ASHP
Flow temp is 42c. No defrost in last 24 hours and house is nice and warm.
will see what the COP is tomorrow when the figures come through to the app.

Yes but what are your weather comp settings?
Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
14 x 500w Monocrystalline solar panels.
2 ESS Smile G3 10.1 batteries.
ESS Smile G3 5kw inverter.
