I believe it's set up for weather comp given the graph displayed and it's how I asked for it to be set. I have gone through the pairing process again and it seems to pair correctly.
As for the rest not only have you lost me but I fear that process is beyond my confidence/competence level.

I might be dropping a fly in the ointment here but as I understand it, Mitsubishi weather compensation uses external and internal temperature sensors, not 3rd party thermostats.

Hi Morgan,
The fact that the flame signal came on at the controller indicates that the controller is getting the correct input from the thermostat. The problem would appear that it is not utilising this signal for control.
If you wish, you can give me a call on 01405 861105 and I will talk you through the simple process of making a few adjustments that may resolve your problem.
the flame symbol is not on the controller, it’s on the room stat.

I’ve called the installation company and await a call back. They can’t however confirm the call back will be today.
Also with Mark suggesting the Mitsubishi only works in weather compensation mode with its own sensor and not third party, i.e. the Heatmiser Neostat I have, has me more confused. I thought the graph symbol on the controller as displayed in my earlier posted photos indicated weather compensation?

I don't think it does. Look at your FTC6 manual, page 15 section 4.3. There is a setting that uses internal temp sensors but it's called 'auto adaptation'. My system is set to weather compensation with external thermostats and it definitely works; I can see the difference in flow temps on the csv file.

Okay Morgan, got that. What manufacture is the thermostat? Is it wired or wireless?
The room thermostat is a Heatmiser Neostat Air V2-M. It’s wireless to a wired controller.

Morgan,
The graph symbol does indicate that your system is in weather compensation mode. If you would like to give me a call I will explain how to change to a different mode. We can of course do the same via messages, but it will take much longer.
That is an uncommonly kind offer which is very much appreciated and I may well take you up on. However, given I await a call back from the installation company, I will hold calling you for now if you don’t mind. 1) I don’t want to miss their call should it come whilst talking with yourself and 2) too much info from different sources is not good for my tech’ comprehension skill set 😀.
If the worst happens such as yesterday evening I shall simply power off overnight again. Not ideal but when the internal temp reached 24.5c when set to 21c and the stat obviously not calling for heat with no indication of ceasing I had no option save to power off the system. The room stat is definitely paired but for whatever reason when it ceases to call for heat the controller isn’t recognising and acting upon it but continues running the CH and external ASHP. I wonder at what temp it would have stopped? Yesterday it switched from CH to heating DHW as we showered and the water temp dropped, as expected, but once the DHW reached 50c it reverted to CH regardless the room stat was above it’s set temp and wasn’t calling for heat. It’s as though the room stat is irrelevant and the system is set to on without a temp setting.
