Jeff RE: Electricity price predictions

By Jeff, 3 weeks ago

The failed energy supplier costs are in theory all off our bills now, but there are now regulatory costs involving the amount of capital Octopus etc have to have access to which some but not all suppl...
RE: Grant 13kW Aerona3 - issues getting zones to temp

By KenBone, 3 weeks ago

@crimson have changed the pump speed on the Aerona itself, think default is speed 3, you want to try and get both pumps running the same speed(flow rate)
RE: How good is the app support for your heat pump?

By Sheriff Fatman, 3 weeks ago

It looks quite interesting and, like you, I'd only want the reporting features from it as I'm already using Havenwise to manage the heat pump. Not sure if will be compatible alongside Havenwise but w...
RE: Grant 13kW Aerona3 - issues getting zones to temp

By JamesPa, 3 weeks ago

RE: Electricity price predictions

By Scalextrix, 3 weeks ago

As far as I can tell it's not really infrastructure upgrades to cope with renewables or recent CfDs that are driving the costs. It's more the legacy renewables subsidies like Renewable Obligation, the...

By JamesPa, 3 weeks ago

I confess I haven't followed the full ins and outs of this case but, as I understand it, your principal problem is that some rooms that are not getting hot enough. Quite how the installers proposed m...
Jeff RE: Electricity price predictions

By Jeff, 3 weeks ago

I haven't read in detail what was said. But Octopus, Eon, EDF are disagreeing with the government that electricity prices will fall as we move from gas to non fossil fuel electricity. Expensive regul...
RE: Grant 13kW Aerona3 - issues getting zones to temp

By Crimson, 3 weeks ago

It’s been a while since last gave an update…   After a couple visits from a heat specialist, and revisits to the calcs. It’s been concluded that the low water volume in the front downstairs zone ...
RE: External wall insulation - your experience

By Batpred, 3 weeks ago

Forum Insulation
So our house is in SE England. We mainly had mixed white/grey EPS installed (~100mm wide) in new aerated block based external walls when we had a rear extension built. This was then rendered with a p...
