So can it be claimed that the heat pump is an 'invasive' species, that if not removed, or at least controlled, could lead to the extinction of the native fossil fuel boiler.
I would be careful about advertising the fact, otherwise you may have 'gas junkies' picketing your home and requesting a cull.
