‘So, we ought to deal with this carbon capture problem, let’s tell the press we intend to spend £20bn on research into carbon capture - that should shake them up!’

’How about we use that £22bn Black Hole we have uncovered and stuff all the carbon in that - it’ll never escape from that!’ Anon.

A lot of oil, gas and petrochemical companies, plus the contracting engineering companies who serve them, have jumped on the CCS bandwagon. It's a money-spinner for them, especially when tax-payers money is thrown their way.

CCS projects the world over have over-promised and under-delivered. No-one has got it working properly, most are expensive follies.

Businessmen & politicians have turned C02 into a commodity; one that can be traded, offset, bought and sold...
