@transparent the TB-C F1 & F2 screw terminals with the screened twisted-pair are the RS-485 link to the Outdoor Unit. I agree with your comments...

Thanks @allyfish - yes dry lining on a timber frame. I'll get the clips changed to insulated/cushioned ones to see if that reduces some of the noise...
