@toodles the default period, if you ticked "remember me" is 14 days. I too am getting occasionally booted by Safari on iPad and Macbook, but no issues on either device using Chrome. I looked into it, and it's a cookie issue that sometimes occurs and requires flushing all cookies, which is a hassle, so I switched browers.

@editor I try to ‘tick’ that box, however, it does not respond however many times I tap it (I assume an X or a tick or a shading should occur to change the appearance of the box, but it remains … well just an outline of a square) The login goes ahead and Robert is your father’s brother. Posted by: @editorYou've touched on interesting point though. It seems that Firefox and Chrome are also more "robust" and dare I say it "trustworthy".
Personally I wouldn't dare.
Both Firefox and Chrome are open source software, so trustworthy in the sense that everyone can see how it works and therefore has it under plenty of public scrutiny. That makes them both fairly robust for the same reason. However, Chrome in particular is then "enriched" with what Google wants to add into it so that it be provided as "Google Chrome". Similarly, it's "enriched" in a slightly different way by Microsoft to deliver it as "Microsoft Edge". As a result, the extent to which any of these browsers are actually trustworthy depends on the business model of the company providing them to you.
Google makes its money from selling insights into people's activity (and the advertising revenue that follows on from that) i.e. analysing their personal data. No matter what they tell you about Chrome's privacy safeguards, you can't forget that and the more accurate message is that you can trust Google Chrome to safeguard anyone else's ability to compete with Google for your data.
Apple makes its money from hardware and app store licencing. No doubt Apple want to know all they can about you but that information flow ends there. That allows Apple to keep Safari slightly simpler since it has fewer nefarious activities to perform and so it is just as robust as the competition in terms of application stability. In terms of security features, they are both on a par and that holds true for how they implement that security.
Bottom line is that all the browsers mentioned are broadly the same in complying with Internet standards, all are broadly the same in terms of robustness and all are broadly the same in terms of ability for a web site to "trust" them. There are BIG differences in their trustworthiness in the sense of personal privacy, and a user has the choice of being scrutinised by Apple or being scrutinised by anyone willing to pay Google for the privilege. Firefox is better in that respect but doesn't have the market share to pressure web developers to fix issues that only appear in that browser.
None of this will affect the issue at hand with logging into this web site.

I’m aware that the notifications aren’t working. It’s a server-wide issue that’s been flagged with the hosts and will hopefully be resolved in due course.

I've just been notified that there's an error uploading images and media to the site – I've checked it and there does appear to be an error. I have flagged this with the developers of the plugin to see if we can fix it. So for the time being, it won't be possible to upload images or attachments. I'll update everyone when this has been fixed.

Hi Mars, How do you delete images please? I uploaded the wrong ones (I didn't post them) but they are confusing me as to which are the right ones to post. I would like to remove them - they are a pain in the proverbial and I see no delete button under 'my media'. Thanks.
@lucia when you go to My Media is there no delete button on the right (as per my attached image)? Can you please check again.

Over the past two weeks, we’ve been working to upgrade the security features on the backend of the site, following a spike in bot activity. I’m happy to inform you that later this week, we’ll be rolling out enhanced password policies to better safeguard your accounts.
Currently, there isn’t an enforced password policy on Renewable Heating Hub, but once the new system is live, you’ll be prompted to update your password if it doesn’t meet the “very strong” criteria. This change is crucial in ensuring the security of our community.
Additionally, the new system will prevent the use of any passwords that have been flagged as compromised in publicly available databases of “pwned” passwords. These are passwords that have been exposed in data breaches, making them unsafe for use. Also, if you receive a notification that your password is on a "pwned" database, it would be a good idea to change the password on other sites where you use this password.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue to improve security measures. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
