Nibe F2040 ASHP PCB failure
Hi all,
My Nibe F2040 ASHP is just over a year outside its 7 year warranty. We have suffered a EB101-EP14 fault. Replacing the fan motor has not solved the problem and I have been told we now need to replace a PCB part 718783 whose price from a wholesaler if £1300. Nibe in the UK have passed me between departments and told me I can only deal with my installer. They will not engage is a conversation about whether this kind of cost to the customer is reasonable for a premium product so recently out of warranty.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
I’ve reached out to NIBE with your case, but given that it’s Christmas, the offices are closed, so it may take me a while to get a reply. I assume you’re without heating at the moment. Correct?

Thank you Mars. Yes, that's right. No heating. Thankfully we have an immersion heater available for the hot water and we're getting through our logs for the wood burner.
I would be really grateful to hear what Nibe say to you. A failure like this so soon out of warranty, particularly when they state on their website their products should last 20-25 years seems very unfortunate. They really should be helping us. I hope, at the very least, Nibe can supply the necessary part at a reasonable price.
@tarquinadams sorry to hear that. Our contacts at NIBE will only be back in the new year.

@tarquinadams and @mars hello. We are facing a similar issue. We have a NIBE F2040-8 which was is just over 9 years old. It was serviced 2 months ago with no issues. It suddenly stopped working on Monday and we have tried all the reset options etc with no luck. We had a NIBE accredited engineer visit yesterday and mentioned the inverter issue. I feel the same as you. Were you able to resolve your issue? Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks
@delta I’ve raised this with NIBE today. Their team is currently in Germany at a trade show, but I’m on the case and will try to get answers.

@delta I’ve been away for a few days and back tonight. I’ll try and reach out to NIBE again. Thanks for the reminder.
