Hi, I have got a 9kw LG monobloc heat pump, does anybody know the correct setting for the water pump flow control, there are three settings Pump Capacity, Optimal and Delta T, it does have a buffer tank in the system, thanks

Hi, Im trying to get to grips with the LG settings for a friend so Im not expert but this video

suggests Optimal might be the way to go. However this video is for the split unit rather than the monobloc

Do you have a good handle on the other settings, so I can pick your brain if needed? Thanks

@potatoman Thanks, I think I have my head around the installer settings I want to adjust, I have sorted out the AI settings that would work better for them given they have a thick slab with UFH. What Im struggling with is things like:

The DHW is currently heated ad hoc once the tank temperature drops to a set point. As they are using octopus cosy it would make more sense to schedule this in the cheap periods and avoid the expensive one. Can you tell me where this is set up?

@potatoman I didnt think so. I thought that was just setting the maximum length of heating the DHW so as not to impact space heating too badly. The second field is the length of time till the next heat and the third the minimum time till the immersion kicks in. Im hoping to stop the immersion altogether.

I was told by the owner that the DHW reheats automatically when the tank temperature drops to a set point, although I havent seen anything so far that confirms that is possible. Do you know if it is or is the DHW just heated on a set schedule, which is what I want to do.

@bontwoody That's an interesting question, I haven't got enough data to give you a proper answer. The heat pump was fitted in March and the Homely was fitted about four weeks ago. 

The main reason it was fitted was because the house is rented out, and I couldn't expect the tenants to tweak the system every day, and in that respect it works brilliantly and is very easy to set up and run.
As the heat pump was thrown in under an eco4 grant I am still trying to find all the settings just for the heat pump, hence my question about heat pump circulation pump setting which I have found was set up incorrectly.
If you get the Homely set-up with the installer settings, you have access to absolutely loads of data, which is great for monitoring the heat pump. 
I have no data to compare before and after the Homely, the only thing I can say is last night temperatures got down to 0 degrees c for the first time this season, and it consumed for hot water and heating 8.8 kilowatts, which I think is pretty good for a small four bedroomed house at 20° 24/7, as with the oil boiler which was installed before it would have been about 15 kilowatts and only on for about 7 hrs.
Also the solar panels made a contribution of 3 kilowatts so instead of paying for 8.8 kilowatts the bill will be only for 5.8 kilowatts.

@potatoman That sounds pretty good then. I may suggest that as a way forward for them if they dont want to get into the nitty gritty with the heat pump.
