Hi Everyone,

a friend has a new Samsung ASHP and her hot water isn’t working.

I have a Baxi so I don’t know anything about Samsung.

Does anyone have any gems of advice for her please?

Many

Has she programmed a schedule for the hot water on the controller?

The manual to look at is the controller manual not the manual for the Outdoor unit that you show in the photo.

Thats also the place to look to see what is (or at least should be) going on.

Installer should have done this really but who knows.  Programming a dhw time schedule will be pretty straightforward, suggest 90 mins once or twice per day with target temperature of 48.

Is it easy to set the timer?

I dont know as I dont have a Samsung.

I looked quickly through the manual and its there, but TBH it didn't seem as straightforward as one might hope.  That said its difficult to judge unless you actually have one in front of you.  Doubtless it becomes more obvious if you do have one in front of you.

Installer should definitely have explained how to set the DHW timer as its the sort of thing you need to do!
