Am I alone in having heating on?
I may be in a minority but, as we both have medical conditions requiring elevated temperatures to be comfortable, I am wondering if I am alone in turning on the heat pump for house heating a few times in the last few months? July will hardly go down as a good month for summer weather I know but, we had our heating on a few times when the outside temperature dropped to about 15 and down to about 10 degrees C, there was little solar gain due to dense clouds and much rain leaving us cool and damp. The ASHP obviously didn’t need to work that hard on these occasions and normally we found that comfort usually returned within an hour or so as it only had a little work to do. Perhaps as retired ‘wrinklies’ who are not that active on a daily basis as many others might be, we find we require an ambient temperature of 22-23 degrees C to be comfortable; has any other reader being hitting the start button on their heating system please? Regards, Toodles.
Toodles, he heats his home with cold draughts and cooks his food with magnets.
@Toodles Fear not, you are not alone 🙂

Not yet although I have considered it and it appears it won't be long now as temps cool day by day.
Have fired up the log burner on a couple of evenings.
