  @cathoderay The modbus protocol is known, you can spy on what the application does easily enough. Spying on the app is a bit trickier but not impossible and there are tools to do it. Many Android apps...

  True, but plug in batteries are not allowed, so if you want it now, get someone to wire it in. A friend was quoted for £260 for RCBO, 10m armoured and fused spur. G98 is free.
