Regulating for a Green, Fair Future online event on Monday
If anyone has a few hours to spare on Monday, there is quite an interesting event you might want to attend. It’s free to attend, and you can register and attend using the link below. It’s free.
Here’s the synopsis:
The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in November, an event of global significance for coordinated action on climate change. Ofgem is determined not just to do everything we can to support a carbon-neutral future in the UK, but to use COP26 to accelerate greener, fairer energy globally through collaboration with international regulators.
At our first event, Jonathan Brearley (chief executive, Ofgem) will explain how we’re regulating to enable greener energy at the lowest possible cost for consumers in GB, as well as our plans for COP26 and how you can engage with the events and activities we have planned. International regulators are also invited to join a panel discussion and Q&A on the common issues and opportunities of the energy transition. You can get involved with discussions about data and behavioural insights as tools to advance decarbonisation too.
