Hopefully iv done the right thing today by signing up to EVO.

I moved from them a year or so ago, my monthly direct debit seemed to increase most months. It got the point even through the whole winter I stayed in credit. In then I ditched them. Good look keep an eye on your billing and direct debit

Okay thanks.

I called them for a quote and they offered the 15p rate for a heat pump although I have an Mitsubishi ecodan so I assume they’ve extended it.

I don’t even remember them asking me what heat pump I have.🤔

@westkent so much for the “wait list”. I have been on that since Jan - but now they are accepting new customers, but haven’t followed up on the waitlist? If true, I’m not impressed. Have just switched from Octopus Cosy to EON Next. EON is half the cost of Octopus Cosy for us.

So… I called them this morning and I’m up and running on my new ovo 1 yr fixed economy 7 tariff.

Was was put through to the EV department where I was able to download a separate charge anytime App and all up & running on that smoothly.

Was then put through to the heat pump department to be told that I was incorrectly advised and that Mitsubishi H/Ps do not yet qualify for the heat pump plus add-on and I’d need to go on the waiting list.

Not particularly happy but I’ll see if the EV anytime App plays up and if so I’m in good time to cancel.

@westkent sorry to hear that you were mis-advised, but sadly not surprised. If it were me I would want to move as a matter of principle and several of us have good experience with other tariffs an£ suppliers.

2kW + Growatt & 4kW +Sunnyboy PV on south-facing roof Solar thermal. 9.5kWh Givenergy battery with AC3. MVHR. Vaillant 7kW ASHP (very pleased with it) open system operating on WC

They've qualified in the past since as I mentioned on this thread I have Heat Pump Plus and an Ecodan. However, I seem to remember at the time they were only taking the first 100 that applied.

Are OVO still the only ones offering a tariff specifically for heat pump usage?

I guess what I mean is are OVO the only ones collecting ASHP energy use data and using it to bill against?

And will they be the first to use the smart grid switch that most current heat pumps have, to switch the ASHP off when it suits them and the grid demands?

If they are directly collecting data from the heat pump, are you sure the data stream isn't two way?
