Open Energy Monitor
Simple question. Does anyone on the forums use Open Energy Monitor?

I installed mine a few months ago.
i have it monitoring the main live coming in, the hob, the oven and three ring mains. When time and money permits, I’ll expand it.
I found it tricky to understand initially, but it’s logging away happily now. I have also added some of the feeds to my Home Assistant setup.
Took a little messing to get it actually working 🤣
Is there anything in particular you’d like to know? Happy to help!

Next big project is a heat pump!
Yes, I have it monitoring usage, production and heat pump. I will send you a review soon Mars 🙂

Yes. I'm running it on an old Pi I had here, not their monitoring kit (as I've sensors already). It started off monitoring my MELCloud stats and using the two heat pump apps to tune it, then I added some tasmota monitoring plugs, now it gets the daily half-hourly electricity usage reports from the Octopus API too, checking that my tariff is still better for me than the alternatives.
The review is fair enough but maybe the screenshots should be updated to use the current stable version?
@editor Hell I look good these days! :-}

If connecting to a heat pump, does it need to be physically wired into anything?

@editor the CT clamp and voltage sensor are plugged in and if using a heat meter in your circuit, that is connected via a modbus to usb connector.

@bontwoody, for the CT clamp and voltage sensor, when you say plugged, do you mean powered?
"...heat meter in your circuit, that is connected via a modbus to usb connector." Please can you elaborate – metering is something I've not look into because we have metres that were installed (RHI requirement for bivalent set up) that monitor heat generated and electricity consumed, in addition to the "limitations" of the controller. I did recently discover a "hidden" portion in our controller user interface that allowed me to find the unit's "modbus menu" where all the usual modbus-type stuff is.
