Upgrading LG Therma V Controller
I have an older LG Therma V. Installed 2020. Model: HM161M U33
Controller software: 3.05.5a
Trying to establish if the software has an upgrade route. Later software has improved displays of weather compensation, efficiency etc.
Slightly different question... what if the Controller is updated to a modern one?
Will it work?
Will it benefit from all functions?
Any downside to trying (apart from cost!)
E.g using a Controller AKB74855319
With software 3.06.xx
I saw this video regarding updates of LG AirCon PREMTB100. Controller appears to be same physically with different software?
Software updates are done with a MicroSD card.
I note ThermaV Controller has the same MicroSD slot.
Needs installer or someone with good contacts at LG to clarify whether an upgrade is possible on ThermaV of whether a physical replacement of new Controller is an upgrade route?

This website information appears to confirm upgrade IS possible. Clearly need to have a route to LG support to get the upgrade
