Samsung ASHP owners what have you set your weather compensation to?
Interested to see what others are using (while realising its completely dependent on your house, the size of the unit etc)
Mine currently is low temp - 2 (2011) Max temp 15 (2012)
UFH highest flow temp 40 (2021), lowest 28 (2022)
Rads highest flow temp 40 (2031, lowest 28 (2032)
Currently resetting Flow temps as per my thread adjusting lockshield valves.Posted by: @cyrusirInterested to see what others are using (while realising its completely dependent on your house, the size of the unit etc)

UFH highest flow temp 40 (2021), lowest 28 (2022)
Rads highest flow temp 40 (2031, lowest 28 (2032)
Low temps -5c for Scotland
Max temps 15c
It has been 50c for years but experimenting after Lockshield settings with firstly 46c Now at 44c
Over the last 3 days of consistant outside temps and adjustment to make three rooms 2 degrees below Thermostat setting of 22c average the cost hast gone up from £10-£12 . Ill be giving it another day but its not working so far.
@cyrusir I have had a Samsung HP since 2023 but January 2025 is the first month we have had -2C and lower temperatures to enable me to finally trim my weather curve (water law in Samsung speak).
Mine is currently:
OAT 15C - Flow temp 37C
OAT -2C - Flow temp 52C
My 12 Kw unit becomes a little unstable with flow temperatures lower than 37C plus the compressor cycles more. As Mr Hendra once said it can only modulate down to 40% its max capacity before the compressor starts cycling
Regards
5 Bedroom House in Cambridgeshire, double glazing, 300mm loft insulation and cavity wall insulation
Design temperature 21C @ OAT -2C = 10.2Kw heat loss
Bivalent system containing:
12Kw Samsung High Temperature Quiet (Gen 6) heat pump
26Kw Grant Blue Flame Oil Boiler
All controlled with Honeywell Home smart thermostat
Not sure if this is working , smaller rooms a bit colder and larger a degree off the 22c .
Having said that I observe that pump is on but only showing 1.5kw consumption on smart meter, now 2kw but only shows it’s cutting consumption but achieving target, which has been on since 3.30pm .
I'm running a 'flat' WL curve of 32C (32C @ 15C OAT; 32C @ -2C OAT), and I then manually adjust LWT up and down on the controller heating screen. At the moment I'm run 32C during the day, set back to 30C overnight and boost to 35C during the cheap price Octopus Cosy slots, but I can tweak this depending how hot/cold the house feels.
Samsung 12kW gen6 ASHP with 50L volumiser and all new large radiators. 7.2kWp solar (south facing), Tesla PW3 (13.5kW)
Solar generation completely offsets ASHP usage annually. We no longer burn ~1600L of kerosene annually.
