Need recommendation as to who can produce an unbiased 'commentary' report on my installation

I've had a tortuous journey with the installation of my heat pump. I've now reached the end of the road with the installer and manufacturer and unfortunately I've started legal proceedings. Two sets of solicitors and me are now involved. They have suggested we need a completely independent expert report with a full commentary on the current installation. This will include a full heat loss calculation to MCS standards - for better or worse. There is so much wrong with the current installation - the report will need to cover every aspect - units, controls, pipework, circulating pumps, heat loss, radiators and legacy pipework.

Can anybody recommend who could do this? Obviously they need to be respected and credible. I'm in Ripon, North Yorkshire. (HG4 postcode)

I have already had a report from Elite Installations in Hull (Heat Geek Elite and Daikin Premier installers). However the parties involved won't accept their report as it was something I commissioned before I instigated legal proceedings! Of course this means I know what's wrong but I have to convince the other parties. All parties will need to agree who is commissioned to carry out this report.

Any recommendations gratefully received!

Could you not ask Elite again, or ask them if they could recommend a suitable company. If that fails Ecobubl appear to have a good reputation, or try another Heat Geek accredited company.

IMS Heat Pumps have a good reputation and eye for detail from what I’ve seen- they’re based in Sheffield (and also do a lot of work from another office in Scotland) so not local local but worth an ask? https://www.imsheatpumps.co.uk/
