Do I just go with the lowest quote for my heat pump?
Day 3 we got hot water! no radiators connected but all hung in place. Still loads of drilling, banging, sawing. After they had finished for the day I went into the loft and found the volumiser was in a very awkward place which would make it difficult for me to reconnect the MVHR.

Day 4 after a bad night of poor sleep When the crew arrived I asked the lead installer if the volumiser could be moved. He listened to my explanation and after a think he said OK that's easy. Phew I was expecting more resistance. During the day all radiators were connected filled, drained after a tiny leak found, refilled and by 1300 the pump was turned on (I nearly said fired up but that would not be appropriate 😀 ) The rubbish was taken away and, as I sat down for a sandwich, was asked to go on a tour to explain it all. By 1700 all was finished they had cleared up and all that remained was to make sure We were happy and had an understanding of the app. Yippee we had our house back! It had been a difficult 4 days but the guys were marvellous. Next I have to learn how to set it up to run efficiently getting rid of the thermostat, trvs and schedules but first have a quiet long weekend.

@lucia yes I'm well pleased and I guess after I have settled up we'll get our referral credit which will be nice. The gas meter is gone as well.

Now a week after the system was commissioned. Generally I have left the settings as they were apart from lowering the DHW to 45C and raising the house temp as it seemed the thermostat was reading low. I have removed all the TRVs downstairs and refitted the caps that were thrown away but not screwed down hard as that would (I believe) shut off the valve. The pipework outside was properly insulated and covered in substantial trunking.
I am very happy with what the guys did and how they fell in with my wishes. The electrician made good use of the EV charge install thus not needing to fit a seperate CU. He did , however need to use my trench to fit the OAT sensor!
I now have all new radiators and the install made me upgrade the MVHR ducting which now uses the old flue as a discharge and now has proper fireproof vents in the ceiling.
So far so good.
