How to See Ecodan Power Usage
I would suggest that you also check the firmware, it may need to be updated.
Posted by: @derek-mI think that if you read through the manual, you may find that AA mode has to be enabled by DIP Switch settings. I doubt that the controller is faulty.
Thanks Derek, based on info at point of post nothing has been ruled out.
There are known, identical performance issues attributed to a small number batch of ftc6 controllers. So the need to establish what’s missing in display terms still exists. The initial questions are aimed at establishing what’s known to be missing in the displays of willen-john’s controller. Bearing in mind that initially we have already established the energy data is not available.
So I think it’s reasonable to ask if the other known missing data in previous faulty units is also not available in this case.
However, in response to questions I’ve asked, willen-John has subsequently posted that the ftc is displaying auto adaptive option.
So the issue has moved on. If the FTC6 is not faulty we can now ask what is preventing the energy data from displaying, or, indeed is the unit faulty?
Of course.. There may be other settings that are preventing energy data being displayed.
It would appear the dip switch for AA is set correctly as the reply confirms it is displaying.
Posted by: @kev-mI asked on another group and was told that some FTC6s came without this function. I have no idea why. Maybe you could contact Mitsubishi tech support or whoever supplied the FTC and ask them?
Hi Kev-m. We had the same missing data on our ftc controller back in January. Mitsubishi asked for our serial number and the installer came out and replaced the unit.
In our case, according to our installer, the unit was a known batch made when there was a world shortage of certain digital chips. They apparently continued manufacturing to service the demand but the missing energy data didn’t affect performance of the controller.
Our installer put this right so, As you say, The installer or Mitsubishi may be the best source to help fix this issue.
