Ecodan not reading the correct temperature

Hello, 

I was looking for some advice. 

I have recently moved into a property which has an ecodan heat pump installed. 

The issue is the heating won't come on indoors as it is reading the temperature higher than it actually is. 

I usually have it sent to compensation curve but changed to show the issue. Currently showing 25 degrees c which it definitely is not at the moment.

@derek-m thank you for responding. 

It is in the airing cupboard attached to the unit but again, the cupboard is not particularly warm. The unit hasn't switched on in a couple of days.

The temperature sensor will be inside the controller, unless you have installed a remote unit, so will be of no use for room temperature control.

You can still operate the system in weather compensation mode.

@derek-m For some months, I have been operating our Daikin EDL08 heat pump without ‘using’ a thermostat. The system was installed with the installer’s ‘default’ stat, a Heatmiser Neo but this was only using the hub to switch the heat pump and the secondary pump on or off. I kept the stat set to a few degrees above desired temperature and used the LWT and WC compensation to do the controlling. It took a while and numerous tweaks as the unit was installed mid-February this year and the weather turned mild on the day of commissioning. By continued tweaking, when cooler weather arrived a few weeks back, I was able to find a fairly stable set of settings. I now have the GreenEnergy Homely controller installed and this has a ‘node’ to sense temperature which sits in the living room and is doing a good job. We had -1.5 degrees C OAT this morning and the unit has been running at about 1 kW/h per hour all day - we like to keep cosy (due to medical conditions) so 22 - 22.5 degrees C is our preferred comfort level.
