Transparent RE: The Battery Battle

By Transparent, 3 weeks ago

Yes, I did mean graduates, but not just in physics. Quite apart from the main fusion reactor they also need to develop new/innovative materials which can repeatedly withstand fluctuations of temperat...
RE: New Fogstar 15.5kWh upright solution

By Batpred, 3 weeks ago

Oops. What I meant is when the wind blows, and in case the market regs force them to sell, that is the time to charge a battery from the grid, just a proxy for future prices.. I have not found a sourc...
RE: The Battery Battle

That's great news, I hope the push for coal and oil the other side of the pond will push some talent this way.. But do you mean graduates in West Burton? From what I hear, Physics graduates continue t...
RE: The Battery Battle

Thanks, the worst blow up was before we installed the new board with SPD to protect the bulk of the circuits. A few calls and emails and the DNO admitted it and I believe put us on a priority circuit....
RE: Heat loss calculations and how they work in conjunction with heat pump sizing

By JamesPa, 3 weeks ago

Doing the plot from heat pump output gives 6.5-7kW also. Depends on how cold house gets. Heat loss is dependent on house temperature Vs outside not whether or not the heating is on or not, and for su...

@editor We defiantly need to come up with a way a customer can employ us with confidence, what do we as a top retro-fix company say to a customer that is disheartened from past experience of a poorly ...
RE: Radiator sizing for heat pump installation by British Gas - are these correct?

By JamesPa, 3 weeks ago

You are spot on. I don't know TBH as I don't have them, they weren't available when my heat pump was fitted. They look that way though!
RE: Heat loss calculations and how they work in conjunction with heat pump sizing

By JamesPa, 3 weeks ago

It's not necessary to be precise, it's only necessary to be precise enough, which I personally define as sufficiently good to be reasonably certain about the major design forks, and to ensure that an...
