'i see your viewpoint NOT' ????
The inverter will come with a Comms cable to connect to the BMS, you might want to look at an additional Comms cable if needed to connect to a laptop?
I picked up a pre used length of 6mm SWA which I ran between the house and the outside utility room. Depending on distance you might need some external Cat 6 cable to link the CT clamp to the inverter/incoming mains live supply
Not sure what cables are needed to connect the battery but I assume Fogstar will sell them anyway, already made up.
I (or rather the electrician ) used the same RCD protection etc set up as for my EV, he just swapped out all the breakers etc into a 6 way consumer unit and added an extra RCD, it included SPD aswell for additional peace of mind.
@misterb apologies, I made a typo! And I can't edit it
On the battery cables, no - Fogstar does not apparently sell nor state the cable size needed...
So need advice on that.
I have 25mm2 cable, stated in the sunsynk manual - but the Fogstar aspect is not clear at all.
A rudimentary calculator states 120mm2 - seems excessive...
Got all the other bits, same as yourself.
I'm pretty sure I used 25mm2 cable. You are limited by size in what the Sunsynk terminals will accept.
I used 50mm2 cable, sunsynk 3.6kW to 100A givenergy breaker to 280L fogstar. 50 is the largest that fits all the above.
OOOO exciting.
I'm waiting for mine to arrive. Have sold off my Plyontech batteries, as I wanted more capacity and this seemed like such great price. (Still expensive)
My Delivery delayed with the courier coming to Belfast.
Hope its simple as just connecting up the cables suppose be based on Plyontech some how.
Please post how you get on, maybe even YouTube video?
Battery has finally arrived, It was rather difficult to get down flight of stairs with it being over 140kg. Out of the well packaged box. Done short Video of how it is so far
. Not connected up yet.
@adrianmc looks great. So you already have solar PV, and you’re just swapping out the batteries, Fogstar for your old Plyontech, is that right? And what’s the size/storage?
