Alexa help requested please.
I have Alexa (for one purpose only at this time) and would like to ask for advice.
The only use I make of it is for smart light bulbs control. When the house is vacant I like to have lights coming on and off in different rooms in order to simulate occupancy as a security measure. The issue I have is the tedium of being required to physically enable 30+ routines on exit and the reverse on return. I have Googled like a mad thing and cannot find an answer, work around or solution to my issue.
So to my question. Is it possible to enable and disable all routines with a single voice command? It would be a great advantage to be able to leave the house and issue a voice command of “Alexa enable all lights routines” or “Alexa enable security light routines” and similar on my return home.
If it’s at all possible can you please (PLEASE) make instructions or better still a walk through very simple as I’m not too hot with techie stuff such as this.
Many thanks in advance.

Have you tried recording the setting and canceling commands on some form of recording device, then just playing the recording to Alexa?
As an alternative you could give all your money and valuables to me so that you don't have anything worth stealing. Problem solved - Simples. 😋
@derek-m I’ll give the idea more thought later when time permits, meanwhile, try searching for Alexa Guard. Regards, Toodles.

@morgan Looks like there is help available here: https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D56Q000082GX1ISAW/how-do-i-set-up-an-automatic-routine-to-turn-on-my-lights-randomly

All I see is the questions but no relevant answers. I have already set up the ‘routines’ but have to physically enable each one manually. I have 30+ light routines.
I googled Alexa Guard but following instructions to set the guard from settings the ‘guard’ option doesn’t appear anywhere. My Echo Dot and Show devices are less than a year old so should be compatible.

@morgan May be that by ‘signing in’ here (or joining the forum or group, whatever at this link might bear more fruit maybe?

I see the replies. They just aren’t relevant as I already have the routines set up and working.
Thanks for your help.

@morgan I haven’t seen any facility to group various devices to form a ‘unit’ that you could just set with one voice command and looking at the Tuya app, everything seems to be for individual devices as well. As I see it with Echo devices, the system can switch on devices but not run a prescribed routine of random switching functions. Could you consider a reduced number of key devices (one per room perhaps?) that would indicate occupancy perhaps? Regards, Toodles.

@toodles The number of routines to switch a light on and off isn't reflected by the number of devices. I have five devices operated on/off at different times amounting to 30+ routines throughout 24 hours.

I use Tuya to act as an interface for various lamps and switched sockets and Tuya can work with Amazon Alexa and other systems taht I don’t use including ITTT. Tuya can be used to create ‘Timer’ sequences (unlimited number per device and daily can be different) but of course they would all need toggling on/off to suit your needs, HOWEVER… I have not used any but you can set ‘Home Automation’ with Tuya and this may be easier for you to achive your goal with less toggling. Worth trying perhaps and the app is free. Regards, Toodles.
