Why is my ASHP consuming power when CH is off?
As per the pictures below. My (Mitsubishi 11.2kw) is consuming energy and maintaining a constant temp' showing as "Heating" when the CH is turned off in settings and DHW is up to temp and not calling for heat.
Surely no power should be consumed except when the DHW requires heat, Legionella protection is required? Annoying me a tad.
Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
14 x 500w Monocrystalline solar panels.
2 ESS Smile G3 10.1 batteries.
ESS Smile G3 5kw inverter.
hi @morgan
this issue was discussed on a post about 2 months ago: find post called:
Mitsubishi 8kW - strange energy use readings
It has been noticed that the Mitsubishi software appears to add notional energy useage to the MELCloud Energy useage record when in stand by mode.It has been noticed by a few people and it appears to be known by Mitsubishi.
I had recorded our energy over reporting on the same thread.
hope this helps
