New 12kW Samsung heat pump
Posted by: @rsk14Finally (fingers crossed) getting our MMSP monitor fitted tomorrow, is there anything I should know or ask about this? Thanks - still trying to get my head around all this.
I'm still waiting for mine to be fixed after it was installed months ago. Make sure you get to see it working; something I didn't do. And you'll need the right documentation to be able to claim the extra RHI so make sure you get that.

Thank you will do.

Hi rsk14,
For accurate temperature measurement the temperature sensors need to be mounted in pockets (thermowells). Ensure that the arrow on the flow meter is pointing in the direction of the water flow. Ensure that the electricity meters and heat meter are connected correctly to the heat pump controller and that the pulse rates are correctly set.
I have a similar Samsung heat pump as is being discussed. The controller is the same as the instruction manual somebody posted earlier on in the thread.
My question is, is there a way to set up the ASHP to a different water law during the day compared to the night? Or something similar. I basically want a law for the day while I’m at home, And I believe the heat pump would be best running all the time, however, it’s coldest at night and therefore radiators will be warmest and I wake up hot. I’d prefer it to be a stable rad temp at night that makes sure the house doesn’t drop too far and then apply the water law during the day. Is this possible without manually doing it every day?
@sambag I have 2 x 12kW Samsungs and not aware of any means to change the weather compensation as you suggest, without regular manual intervention. Mine are "controlled" via a Hive thermostat that I programme for a constant 18°C during the day and set back to 16°C overnight (2300-0400). This means, except in very cold weather, they are mostly off overnight but the temperature doesn't drop so far that they have too much work to do in the morning. Not sure this is always an optimum arrangement, just what I'm trialling at the moment.
2 x 12kW Samsung Gen6 ASHP, 5.6kW solar PV ground mounted c/w 10kWh Puredrive battery & Solis inverter.
