Help with ashp
@sand I would suggest you just use the TRVs in the bedrooms and set them to 2 or 3, whatever is most comfortable for you.
We have trv on all rads upstairs, they are normally set to 5 and just left. We control temp with wireless controller. We turned trvs down last night but that didn't help.Â
Its all back to normal now I have moved the wireless thermostat to another room with no other wireless equipment.
It has worked perfectly up until last 2 days.

So if I am understanding correctly, you moved the wireless controller, then the system did not work correctly, so you removed the batteries from the wireless controller and your system still did not work correctly. Now you have replaced the batteries and re-sited the controller and your system is now working correctly? Simples. 🙂Â
@morgan and @sand, thanks for the tips, I can see that screen now.
The Ecodan controller can manage two zones calling for heat at different times but it can't seem to do different methods for each. At least not the way mine is set up. Â
That's one of the downsides of having a simple weather compensation set up; you have the same temperature throughout. As @batalto says you can use TRVs in one or two rooms. Or offset/adjust the curve, or a combination. It took me a while to get the compensation curve right.
@sand do you have Melcloud? You can get stats like this if you have. This is mine for the last week. If you allow for the fact it's off for 5 hours/day 12-5am, it's running most of the rest of the time.

🤪 🤪 I know it went bonkers for 2 days zone 2 would just switch not go off. I like to be toasty but it was ridiculously hot with trv's turned down.Â
Just read manual on controller this morning and it does say to keep away from other electrical wireless equipment 🙄 . Its not been a problem before, can only assume maybe some firmware has been updated in the other equipment and the wireless controller stopped responding.Â
Every days a school day with this system 🙂
Thanks Kev M, I do have Mel cloud .
This is my operation mode for last 24 hour period for last 2 days.
The settings were exactly the same for both days.
Has u can see there was a lot more stop on the 9th.
Even tho it was on most of the time yesterday it didn't use any more energy.
I haven't got a freeze stat on my images how do u get that.
I also can't see delivered energy only consumed energy cos apparently i don't have electronic flow sensor either attached or fitted.
Got an local independent "heat geek" coming next week to check over system just to give it a once over to check alls ok.
Â
You probably don't have Freeze Stat enabled. All it seems to do is keep the pump running when it gets to 5C or below. If your system is filled with a glycol mix rather than pure water I think you don't need it. Mine is glycol but the supplier left it set up like this and I haven't changed it.Â
I'd be really interested to see what your independent engineer says.
As you say, you never stop learning...
