FTC cables broken - Can I use heat pump without? Ecodan Heat pump
Hi this may be a stupid question , but my dog somehow managed to tear 2 cables that new attached to the FTC on the circuit board it is marked - RD - CNW12, to is coming up with error code L5 and the heat pump doesn't seem to be kicking in
Any ideas if I can do a workaround or a way to fix ?

The cable should be connected to THW1 - Flow Water Temperature Thermistor and THW2 - Return Water Temperature Thermistor.
To get your system operational I would suggest that you try to reconnect the four cores. Remove the plug from the circuit board and if you have a soldering iron then solder the broken wires together, or tape them if you don't have a soldering iron. The wires should be colour coded. When repaired replace the plug back in the socket.
You may be able to get replacement Thermistors later.
I doubt that the heat pump will function without these two signals since they are rather important for correct operation.
